Holliday
Holliday is a revolver-wielding marksman in Deadlock who bounces around on Bounce Pads, throws explosive Powder Kegs, deals bonus damage on headshots with Crackshot and pulls and stuns enemies with her Spirit Lasso ultimate. She joined regular matchmaking on Jan 17, 2025, after starting in Hero Labs on Oct 24, 2024.
Holliday is a Deadlock marksman who fights with an heirloom revolver and trick shots: she launches herself and enemies with Bounce Pads, blasts them with exploding Powder Kegs, punishes headshots with Crackshot and drags a target out of position with her Spirit Lasso ultimate. Valve's game files describe her as "Bounces about dispensing trick shots" (deadlock-api's copy of the game files, Oct 26, 2026). She was one of six in-progress heroes when Hero Labs opened on Oct 24, 2024, per Valve's forum patch notes, and moved into regular matchmaking with Vyper, Calico and Sinclair on Jan 17, 2025. Deadlock is still an invite-only playtest, and Valve has not announced a release date.

Source: the game files as of Oct 26, 2026 (deadlock-api, items).
Powder Keg is her main damage tool. She throws a barrel (2 charges, 7.5s apart) that explodes in 6 m for 40 impact spirit damage plus a burn of 13.3 per second for 3s, knocking enemies up; shooting or meleeing it sets it off early, and the burns stack (game files, Oct 26, 2026). Since Aug 12, 2026 half its damage lands at once and half as the burn. T1 cuts 10s from the cooldown, T2 adds a charge, and T3 adds 40 impact damage, 13.3 burn per second, better spirit scaling and 5s less charge time.
Bounce Pad is her mobility. The pad lasts 22s and launches any hero who steps on it with full air control; when Holliday lands she explodes for 60 damage in 9 m, once per person per pad (game files, Oct 26, 2026). Valve cut the damage from 80 on Nov 21, 2025 and the radius from 12 m on Jun 11, 2026. T1 cuts 10s from the 41s cooldown, T2 gives her and her allies 4 m/s of speed for 4s on landing, and T3 makes her landing stomp stun for 0.7s.
Crackshot rewards her aim. A headshot deals 55 bonus damage in 2 m and a fading 40% slow for 2s, ignores falloff and does not work on objectives; the 20s cooldown is halved when it procs on NPCs (game files, Oct 26, 2026). T1 adds 20% to the slow, T2 adds 49.5 damage and, since Sep 16, 2026, makes the target take 6% more bullet damage for 5s, and T3 takes 6s off the cooldown per hero headshot and 3s per NPC headshot.
Spirit Lasso is her pick tool. She throws a lasso (20 m range, a 60-degree targeting cone) that deals 80 spirit damage, then pulls and stuns the target for 2.25s; using a Bounce Pad while lassoing extends it by 1.25s, up from 1s on Sep 16, 2026. T1 adds 80 damage (raised from 68 on Apr 30, 2026), T2 adds 0.75s, and T3 cuts 40s from the 130s cooldown in the game files (Valve set -50s on Apr 30, before its Jun 30, 2026 change to every ultimate's cooldowns).
How to play
Holliday is built to win the early game. Mobalytics' build by sharky (updated Oct 21, 2026) says she "excels at taking over the early game and scaling properly during the mid to late game". Her revolver keeps full damage to 20 m and falls off to 10% at 57.5 m (game files, Oct 26, 2026), so she can trade from range and use Crackshot headshots to win the lane.
Her combos come from her bounce: she "depends on her skills as a crack shot, shooting things she's bounced into the air", says the game's own text (game files), so a Powder Keg knocks enemies up for easy headshots. Mobalytics' Holliday guide lists her strengths as great pick potential with Spirit Lasso, good mobility from Bounce Pad and great trading, and her weaknesses as needing consistent skillshots, needing allies to finish kills and being weak against crowd control.
She has only 2 stamina (game files, Oct 26, 2026), fewer dashes than most heroes, so players buy stamina items for her (Movement and Combat).
Builds
Holliday is built as a spirit and stamina hybrid. Sharky's Mobalytics build (Build ID 243322, Oct 21, 2026) starts with Extra Charge, Extra Spirit, Mystic Burst, Mystic Shot, Rapid Recharge, Improved Spirit, Extra Stamina into Stamina Mastery and Recharging Rush; mid game it adds Compress Cooldown imbued on Spirit Lasso, Superior Duration, Tankbuster and Transcendent Cooldown; late, Boundless Spirit, Mercurial Magnum imbued on Powder Keg and Spirit Burn. Most are Spirit Items, with Vitality Items for stamina and defense.
Players buy a similar mix. deadlock-api measured Extra Charge in 94% of her games, Rapid Recharge 88%, Stamina Mastery 78%, Headshot Booster 69%, Extra Stamina 68%, Recharging Rush 62% and Headhunter 57% from Oct 15 to Oct 26, 2026, the last two being Weapon Items for her Crackshot headshots. Boundless Spirit, in 40% of games, won 50.0%. See Items and Shop and Builds and Itemization.
Counters and matchups
Crowd control and counter items shut Holliday down. Mobalytics says Knockdown stops her bouncing, Silence Wave stops Powder Keg and Bounce Pad, Counterspell stops Spirit Lasso, and holding high ground on rooftops or near jump pads blunts her vertical play. Mobalytics' Street Brawl guide (Aug 27, 2026) also names Knockdown against her. More on Counter Items.
deadlock-api's matchup measurement (Oct 15 to Oct 26, 2026) found Holliday's lowest win rates against Graves (38.9%), Victor (39.6%), Rat King (40.3%), Kelvin (40.7%) and Paige (41.8%), and her highest against Pocket (52.2%), Mirage (51.9%), Sinclair (51.8%), Mina (51.1%) and Shiv (50.8%). Kelvin's best matchups include Holliday, at 59.3% for Kelvin. Her lasso also has a use against Rem: Mobalytics' Rem guide says a stunning ultimate such as Holliday's knocks Rem off Tag Along.
She does better in high-ranked games: 50.04% at Phantom and above, in 22.4% of matches (deadlock-api, Oct 15 to Oct 26, 2026). Dexerto put her in B tier on Oct 9, 2026, as did Mobalytics' expert list on Oct 22, 2026. See the Hero Tier List.

Lore
Valve introduced her on Jan 17, 2025: "Armed with an heirloom revolver and a spirit lasso, Holliday's investigations have led her to New York... and when she finds the killer she's looking for she's bringing him in dead, not alive." Her in-game biography makes her a small-town sheriff who tracked a killer, a traveling folk musician called "The Troubadour", who exploded into a murder of crows (game files, Oct 26, 2026). Her revolver is "Doc's Orders". The setting is on Lore and Setting.

Laning GuideIn Deadlock's lane phase, two heroes share each of three lanes, farm trooper waves that come every 25 seconds, shoot the soul orb that flies up from each dying trooper to secure it (or your own trooper's orb, to deny it), and pick up the ground orb that holds the other half. Trade with abilities, stay away from the enemy Guardian early, and leave lane to farm camps once the wave is pushed, usually around 5 to 10 minutes.

Movement and CombatDeadlock heroes move with stamina-based dashes and air jumps, free slides, wall jumps, mantles and out-of-combat sprint, and fight with guns, abilities, light and heavy melee and a parry that stuns an attacking meleer. Most heroes have 3 stamina, a ground dash covers 10 meters and a dash jump 19, and headshots deal 1.65 times damage (Valve's notes and the game files, as of Oct 26, 2026).
